Using the mobile app
The website is where you browse and plan. The app is the part that goes with you, watching prices in the background and telling you when a game on your list is worth buying.
Getting it
The LootPick app is on Google Play for Android. An iOS version is not available yet.
One account, everywhere
Sign in with the same account on the website and in the app. Your Picks, Loot, ratings and settings follow you, so a game you add on your laptop is on your phone a moment later, and a purchase you log in the app shows up in your totals on the web.
Alerts are the main reason to install it
Turn on the alert for a pick and set a target price. The app is where price alerts are delivered, so a short sale does not have to pass while you are not looking. The Picks guide explains how to set a target price.
A good routine
- Browse deals, new releases and subscription hubs on the website, where the screen is big.
- Add anything tempting to Picks and rank it honestly.
- Switch on alerts for the ones you would buy at the right price.
- When an alert arrives, check the score, buy, then record it in Loot.
Same scores on both
The app and the website use the same scoring, so a game never shows Buy Now in one and Wait in the other. How the number is built is covered in How LootPick scores a game.
