How to read a game page
Every game on LootPick has its own page. It is built to answer one question, whether to buy now, and then to give you what you need to act on the answer. This guide walks through it from top to bottom.
The score and the label
At the top you will find the cover, the platforms, whether the game is solo, multiplayer or co-op, and a score wheel from 0 to 100 with a label: Buy Now, Watch It or Wait. Next to it is a help icon that explains how the score works. When you are signed out, or the game is not on your Picks, the number is the LP Scout Score. Once a game is on your Picks it shows your own LootPick Score, which also reflects how highly you ranked it. The scoring guide explains both.
The breakdown
The score is not a black box. The breakdown lists each input, what it was worth and the bonuses or penalties that applied, including the ones that did not fire. If a score looks low, the breakdown tells you whether the reason is a small discount, weak reviews or a price far from the record low.
Price Alert
If the game is on your Picks you can turn on a price alert and set a target. The setting is saved to your account, and the mobile app is where notifications are delivered. Free accounts can keep 2 alerts active, and Premium has no limit.
About and About the game
About is the publisher's own description from the IGDB catalogue. About the game adds the facts at a glance: who made it, who published it, when it released, which platforms it is on, whether it supports multiplayer or co-op, and whether it is currently included with Game Pass or EA Play.
Stores and how fresh the price is
The Stores section lists where you can buy the game and at what price, so you can pick the cheapest legitimate seller. Prices change often, so treat any price as a strong hint and confirm the real price at the store before you pay. On your Picks cards each price also shows how long ago it was updated, such as Updated 3d ago, and one older than a week is flagged as stale.
Time to Beat
Time to Beat shows how long the game takes, for the Main Story and for Main plus Extras. It helps you judge value. A 12 hour game at a record low and a 100 hour game at a modest discount are different bets, and your free hours decide which is better for you.
DLC, add-ons and mods
Where a game has expansions, add-ons or bundles, they are listed so you can see the whole product. A game with a lot of DLC may have a complete edition that is cheaper than buying pieces. Mods are listed where we have them.
Similar games
The last shelf suggests games with matching genres and themes. It is a good way to find the next pick when the price on this one is not right yet.
Adding it to your lists
From the page you can add the game to your Picks, or to your Loot once you own it. See the Picks guide and the Loot guide.
